Since its release in 1991, Vim has become essential for developers, combining versatility with a minimalist approach to boost efficiency. Beyond his technical work, Moolenaar was a passionate humanitarian, founding a charity supporting children’s education in Uganda through ICCF Holland. His family, in a message of gratitude, urged fans to honor him by supporting this cause, echoing Bram’s sentiment, “If you are happy, I am happy!”
